American Garage Doors understands the importance of a well-made Commercial Garage Door that is not only beautiful but also able to withstand the daily operations in a commercial and industrial environment. We offer a wide selection of insulated and uninsulated doors to your exact specifications.
Many Styles, Colors & Window Options.
Our new garage door replacement will always be made with 2" thick sections. They will be either 26, 25, or 24-gauge steel. With steel gauge, you must remember the lower the number, the thicker the steel. You will see an enormous difference in non-insulated doors with other companies' hardware. Often other manufacturers go "cheap" with non-insulated doors. All our C.H.I. non-insulated doors use "commercial grade" hardware, steel ten ball bearing rollers, and come with a manufacturer's lifetime section warranty against rust through, splitting, and cracking. Non-insulated doors tend to be installed on detached garages, where it is not heated, detached from the home, and you want to keep the elements out. Note: all doors look alike from the outside and cannot tell the difference by just looking from insulated and non-insulated from the outside.
Is the garage insulated, heated, or do you have bedrooms above it? Well, an insulated garage door is a suitable choice for you. Unfortunately, all insulated garage doors are not alike. Here's where you're going to want to weigh your options according to your application. These garage doors are usually installed on attached insulated garages where the garage is heated and bedrooms above the garage. R-values range from 7-18 depending on the door's insulating material. Remember, the higher the R-value, the better the door is insulated. If your application is not heated or the garage itself is not insulated and does not have bedrooms above the garage, then this door is probably more than the application calls for.? The insulation will either be polystyrene or polyurethane 2" thick with either steel back or vinyl. The steel back is much more robust, making the door rigid and strong.
